Award Winning Cheese

Cheese competition judges typically evaluate contest cheese for both technical and aesthetic quality. The written judge's comments from contests and competitions provide a Cheesemaker with good technical feedback to use in continually improving their craft. At Faribault Dairy we occasionally enter cheese contests for that purpose.

The four contests we prefer to enter are the Wisconsin Cheese Makers (WCMA) sponsored World Championship Cheese Contest and U.S. Championship Cheese Contest, the annual American Cheese Society (ACS) contest, the Upper Midwest Dairy Industry Association (UMDIA) quarterly contests and the World Cheese Awards of London, England.

At Faribault Dairy we are humbly grateful for the awards our handmade cave aged cheese has earned to date.

Some of the awards include:

North Central Cheese Industry Association
