Award Winning Cheese

Cheese competition judges typically evaluate contest cheese for both technical and aesthetic quality. The written judge's comments from contests and competitions provide a cheesemaker with good technical feedback to use in continually improving his or her craft.  We enter cheese contests for that purpose.  At Caves of Faribault we are humbly grateful for the awards our handmade cave-aged cheese has earned to date.

Some of the awards include:

National Milk Producers Federation Cheese Competition

Hard & Mold Ripened Class Results:

First Place - St Pete's Select blue cheese made by Caves of Faribault
Second Place - Verdant Grass-Fed Blue made by Caves of Faribault
Third Place - Mindoro Blue made by Swiss Valley Farms
